Old year, New year

Yaay, 2018 is almost over๐Ÿ˜ƒ
God has been good to us, we are still breathing, meaning we are very much alive๐Ÿ˜…
Thank you Lord๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘

So how has the year 2018 been?

Recounting the year, months, weeks days: will you say it has been a good one๐Ÿ˜Š? It has been more than you expected ๐Ÿ˜…? You could count more blessings than troubles, losses, hardships๐Ÿ˜‹ ?
That's great, I share in your joy, may 2019 be greater ๐Ÿ‘

But maybe for you, you can't wait for it to end so you can start afresh in a new year๐Ÿ˜Ÿ. Maybe for you, you wished the year 2018 never happened because you lost more than you gained (i.e. the loved ones who died๐Ÿ˜ข, the dreams and visions that never were, the plans and resolutions that couldn't fall through, the lost jobs, the relationships that got broken๐Ÿ’”, the exams you failed or even the health you lost๐Ÿ˜ก). Some of us might have also lost our faith along the way, couldn't grow spiritually as we desired to or even fell heavily into sin.

Yeah, a lot was lost. I understand but hey, the sun will certainly shine again. Don't lose it yet. Pick yourself up. The fact that you can still breathe means there's still life, so go on and create life in your situation. Just wipe away the tears of pain and regret and embrace the new year with hope. Don't be scared to have expectations again, don't be scared to make resolutions yet again, just include Christ this time. I agree with Plumb when she says "Even a million scars doesn't change whose we are". We are God's, He loves us enough to walk us through the year 2019 if only we ask Him to. It ain't going be all rosy and easy but if God is walking with you, if God is by your side guiding your steps through every day of the year, if all your hope is in Him to take over the reins of your life as you journey on, dear you are really going to enjoy 2019, trust me.

Just walk through 2019, not alone, but with God๐Ÿ’– .
